Alexander Sinichenko (pen name Ran Sei), Ukrainian artist, designer, poet

was born on May, 24, 1966

painting: expressionism, monochrome chinese style, japanese style "basara" (oil, acrylic, ink, watercolor);

ceramics: vases (for ikebana), cups (for tea-ceremony).

Exibitions (1994-1998): "You Are Able", "Blind", "Chinese Calligraphy" (The Minister of Culture of China Prize), "Sobor" (Lubomir Guzar Prize), "Patriarch Mstislav", "Wandering to North" (St. Ptb.), 2d Avant-garde Conference in Kherson, nomination of Grosse Kunstausstelung Munchen 1997.

Works inhere in Russia, Germany, Norway, Belgium, Japan, USA, including beside Arnolf Rainer, Annette Zus, Harold Grimen, Teresia Raschshaffer, Stephan Micus, Takeshi Iida (Hyoumei), Rhyuseki Morimoto.

 When an moment of creativity happens, the thing coincides with its inner essence. By moving towards the essence of one thing, and then beyond it, a man of art encounters his own inwardness. The recognition deepens self-realization of the artist and the intimacy of his relationship with the world. The realization of one's true nature reveals the freedom of existence and the meaning of creativity.


 While contemplating the laws of formation, the created forms are not complete. While letting thoughts flow freely, none of them becomes the object of attachement. Following the artistic forms and the flow of color, the center is reached, which hold the form together. When the center is reached, identification with the external ceases and no thought or emotion can disrupt the balance...
